What do I need to know before the training?

Azure/AWS: There are no pre-requisites for taking this course. Technical IT experience is not required however some general IT knowledge or experience would be beneficial. General knowledge about information systems (servers, databases, networks) will be very helpful in understanding the content of the training. The implementation of labs will require basic knowledge in the above-mentioned areas.

Google: Familiarity with application development, systems operations, Linux operating systems, and data analytics / machine learning is helpful in understanding the technologies covered.

Course Outline

Day 1: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

At day one we start with digging into the Microsoft Azure platform with the Azure Fundamentals training.

This course will provide foundational level knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. The course can be taken as an optional first step in learning about cloud services and Microsoft Azure, before taking further Microsoft Azure or Microsoft cloud services courses.

The course will cover general cloud computing concepts as well as general cloud computing models and services such as Public, Private and Hybrid cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software- as-a-Service (SaaS).

It will also cover some core Azure services and solutions, as well as key Azure pillar services concerning security, privacy, compliance and trust. It will finally cover pricing and support services available with Azure.

On day two we continue with AWS Cloud Practitioner training, in which, in addition to a huge dose of theoretical knowledge, you will acquire practical skills in working with AWS.

This fundamental-level, course is intended for individuals who seek an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles. It provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS services, security, architecture, pricing, and support to enable you to build your cloud skills and grow your professional credibility. It includes hands-on lab exercises reinforcing some of the core concepts of the course's lecture. 

Exam: This course helps you to prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

Ekki eru lögð fyrir formleg próf en leiðbeinandi fer vel yfir það með þátttakendum í lokin sem hefur áunnist á námskeiðinu en vinnustofan er þó góður undirbúningur fyrir vottunarpróf hverrar skýjaþjónustu. Nemendum er í sjálfval sett hvort þeir taki próf en ath að próf eru ekki innifalin í námskeiðsgjaldi.
